If you want to buy a car that will turn some heads because of its bold color and features, buckle up since I am going to show you the top 10 of some of the best red beauties. Affordable or not, you can still dream about owning one, and who knows, maybe someday…
1970 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
This eye-catching red Corvette is an ideal depiction of a vehicle that is impossible to hide. I mean, who would want to hide this perfection? One of the best-looking automobiles of the whole period was the brilliant red convertible and Corvettes from this era are still highly sought-after. This specific ‘Vette has a 4-speed manual transmission and an original hardtop, which increases its desirability.
I don’t know about you, but if I have the chance to drive this brilliant red car, I won’t think twice about it!
Are you a Chevy enthusiast who’s always excited to see a retrospective of their favorite car brand? I have some good news for you! While I was browsing for a nice car catalog on Amazon, I found this one: 90 Years of History, Photos, Technical Data, and Pricing of Chevrolet, which costs $34.95. I’d say is nice to have it in your collection but the choice is yours…
2008 Ford Mustang Red Mist Custom
Who remembers the movie Kick-ass from 2010? It’s a must-see if you were a comic book fan in your teen years. Plus, this red car I am going to talk about now was built as a replica of the classic Mustang, and it appeared in this movie. Though rather absurd, this angry red Mustang is surprisingly quick for its price.
It has a Vortech supercharger that increases output to 550 horsepower, in addition to a slew of cosmetic and aural “upgrades.” Are you into body kits? If you answer yes without hesitation, then this Red Mist Mustang must be your style. Otherwise, it’s definitely an acquired taste.
This may be an unpopular opinion but no matter the generation it belongs to, the red Mustang is stunning!
Nissan Z
If I had to decide on one red car; I’d choose the Nissan Z anytime. Why? Let’s see. The Z is best regarded as a rebuilt 370Z and is perhaps the finest-equipped car from this bunch as standard. The 2023 model year Nissan Z, which retains the factory-built vehicle architecture of the 350Z, is priced at $39,900 in the US and comes with a nine-speed transmission or a stick shift.
I might have cheated a bit (no regrets!) because this vehicle isn’t only red! The Passion Red TriCoat with Super Black Roof, a two-tone combination priced at $1,695, is the only shade of red that is offered for the Z.
Speed and a reasonably priced car? The Nissan Z is probably one of the best choices out there.
1985 Jeep Scrambler
This is more like a vintage red car, which is also pretty hard to find nowadays, but if you are lucky enough to see it, take some pictures. These days, it’s really difficult to find original ’80s Jeep Scramblers that haven’t entirely rusted away. This one is among the cleanest we’ve ever seen. , but if you don’t roll it into a ravine, something like this is more likely to appreciate over time.
If you want to buy a Jeep Scrambler, you may be lucky to find it for around $34,000 or more.
Dodge Viper
Another American muscle car that looks great in red is the Dodge Viper, of course. And the Viper was to its 1990s contemporaries what the Lamborghini Countach was to the youths of the 1980s. A TV show centered around the automobile and even used its name as the title, which was evidence of its popularity. What color was the automobile in the TV show when it wasn’t used as an assault vehicle? Naturally, red.
1988 Porsche 911 Turbo Custom
When speaking about red cars, I couldn’t step away from mentioning the amazing Porsche model from 1988. Car experts believe that the body modification on this particular 911 Turbo is holding it back a little bit, considering the high value of so many ’80s 911s these days.
Although there are few details available, this vehicle has undoubtedly received a significant amount of aftermarket adjustments, such as a roll cage, racing seats, a larger intercooler, and a unique exhaust.
1990 Ferrari Testarossa
Sheesh, this Ferrari drives me completely insane! It is impossible to mention a red automobile without thinking of a Ferrari. The Testarossa’s value continues to rise, so nice specimens like this one that cost less than $100,000 won’t be available for very long.
Alfa Romeo Spider
Moving on to another stunning classic red car, the Alfa Romeo Spider is probably something that will still turn heads. The Alfa Romeo Series 1 Spider, which featured notably in the 1967 film The Graduate, served as something of a brand ambassador for the manufacturer. Naturally, the movie had it completed in crimson.
Toyota Cinnabar Metallic
Classic red cars are definitely my favorite, but what about a cool Toyota that’s super versatile, good-looking, and easy to park? The Toyota RAV4, Yaris Pulse, and, of course, the brand-new C-HR crossover all look attractive in this cool.
Mitsubishi Xpander
With a rich history in racing spanning from the WRC to the Dakar Rally, Mitsubishi has produced several memorable red vehicles. For most Lancers, Evo or not, it’s the standard color. Additionally, despite having to give up some of its sporting aspirations recently, the brand’s DNA can still be found in its more sensible and passenger-focused products.
Even the recently released Xpander, a compact but somewhat tall MPV with a dubious moniker and an equally dubious amount of airbags, seems to be in red. Even though this car is mostly functional, its daring design cues merit recognition. A Mitsubishi looks nice in any hue, but being red is a plus for me!
Volvo S60 T8 R Design
With almost 400 horsepower combined from the gasoline and electric engines, this Scandinavian swagger is matched. Additionally, purchasers may up the sportiness ante with the Fusion Red paint job, which is exclusive to this T8 model and unavailable on other T8 models that choose a more subdued and sophisticated look.
Bottom line:
There is no point in denying that a red car is very eye-catching, and no matter where you decide to take it for a ride, it will always make an appearance. While red is usually mostly associated with muscle cars or sports cars, especially those made for racing, red works wonders on smaller hatchbacks too.
Furthermore, red paint seems extremely shiny in the sunlight and is far more intriguing than white, silver, or gray. What do you think about a red car? Which one is your favorite model on the market? Tell me in the comments.
