6 Used Cars Better Than Brand New Ones!

You’re better off investing in these used cars, instead of paying full price for a new one!

When we need to replace our cars, we generally do not consider getting a used one. If anything, we always go for the new ones that promise a lot of things, including good performance and mileage, while also not breaking the bank.

Unfortunately, with how the economy has been in the past, we cannot afford to think about changing a car every 5 years, so finding one that is going to last us more than 200,000 miles is a necessity.

And while cars nowadays definitely work better than they have in the past, they are also more expensive as the years go by.

So why not turn our attention to used cars when we are looking for a new one, since there are some models that end up being more reliable even if they are used?

A study done by Forbes has shown that back in the 1970s, cars used to have an average lifespan of about 5.7 years and were grounded at the 100,000-mile mark.

Today, in the U.S., cars can last you on average around 12.5 years, and the mileage can be anywhere from 200,000 to 300,000 miles!

So there are a lot of used cars out there that have been maintained well and probably have not been used much that are going to last you for a long while and even pass over the 200,000. Not to mention, they will end up costing you way less since they have been used.

No matter what you choose, the main things we have focused on when we brought you these used cars that are generally a great choice if you need a good car are the following: They are all from good brands that have proven to be reliable; they have all had high scores on road tests; they have a track record of being reliable; and, above all, they are all safe!

What you will need to be sure if you are to go for these models is to check that the car has been properly maintained and that you are getting them from an authorized reseller!

Toyota is the MVP of this list since the Japanese brand has been making reliable cars and SUVs for a long time, and we are going to see them on this list more than once!

The Land Cruiser is a beautiful car, and if you are in the market for a bigger car that is powerful and reliable, then you should turn your attention to this one too!

Not a lot of cars can get close to the 300,000 mileage mark, but the Land Cruiser has made a name for itself for being durable and sturdy, with little to no issues that would be hard to deal with.

If you manage to find a used model between 100,000 and 200,000 miles already under its bet, you should not get discouraged.

The closer to 100,000, the better since it means you will be able to have the car for longer, but whether you are looking for a car for yourself or a potential gift for a new driver, these used cars are amazing.

The best choice if you are looking for a used GMC car is the Yukon XL. This all-American sturdy car is known to be able to last even up to two decades easily.

While the car is not flawless, as some people have reported having issues with body integrity, in-car electronics, and some power equipment, these are not problems that are a given.

No one has ever complained about huge issues such as transmission, engine, or fuel system performance, so if you find a used one with not many miles under the hood, you’re in luck!
